Just days ahead of Xmas, some of Hollywood’s biggest names came together to pay homage to Carey’s iconic holiday hit with an epic cover video. The star-studded clip was unveiled on Carey’s YouTube channel on Monday (December 23) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her smash hit song.
The charming holiday video features some of the most famous (and most unexpected) celebrities singing and dancing along to Carey’s timeless Christmas jingle. With a hilarious opening monologue from Tyler Perry, who amusingly mispronounces her name, the clip then transitions with a montage of clips from actors, singers, and entertainers alike belting the lyrics to the hit. Among the stars to appear in the collaborative tribute include Nick Cannon, Katy Perry, Ciara, Laverne Cox, Jamie Foxx, Ariana Grande, Normani, Snoop Dogg, Millie Bobby Brown, and a bounty of others.
Another special cameo is made toward the end of the clip when Carey’s adorable kids, Moroccan and Monroe, groove and sing the words to their mommy’s song while rocking red onesies.
In addition to celebrating 25 years of “All I Want For Christmas” this year, Carey met another huge milestone when her Christmas wish finally came true when the festive track topped the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month. “We did it,” she tweeted along emotional emojis to mark the accomplishment.
